The Big Bash League (BBL) match which took place on Saturday made headlines for one of the unluckiest dismissals ever. The match was between Sydney Sixers and the Melbourne Renegades.
During the game, cricketer Josh Philippe gave a powerful hit but sadly it went straight back at the bowler and onto the stumps at the non-striker's end. James Vince, who was standing near the stumps was found well short of the crease. After which the umpire immediately giving the 'out' signal.
Vince's unfortunate dismissal disappointed the team. The video of the dismissal was posted on Twitter by BBL's official handle and they captioned it saying, "Could James Vince BE any more unlucky?? #BBL09"
Highlighting about the match, Melbourne Renegades scored 5-175 (Finch 109, Curran 3-27) lost to Sydney Sixers 3-176 (Smith 66no, Philippe 61) by seven wickets with eight balls to spare. Watch the video below:
