According to reports, Indian wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha suffered a thumb injury during a match due to which he will not be taking part in the upcoming one-off Test against Afghanistan. The news was confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
BCCI took to Twitter and wrote, "Wriddhiman Saha ruled out of the @Paytm Afghanistan Test. The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named @DineshKarthik as the replacement. #INDvAFG #TeamIndia (sic)."
Saha reportedly suffered a thumb injury while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL Qualifiers 2. He is expected to take rest for five to six weeks.
