It was the famed England's Lord's cricket ground's tradition to tong a bell signifying the start of a match. The same was emulated in Kolkata's Eden Gardens by former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly, who serves as President of the Cricket Association of Bengal. Notably, in today's match against Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings' Harbhajan Singh tonged the bell signifying the start of the match.
