According to reports, cricketers MS Dhoni and Ravichandran Ashwin were not included in the A+ category introduced by BCCI. Allegedly, only Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah were selected for the A+ category. Dhoni and Ashwin will be in the A category and can get annual contracts for Rs 5 crore while A+ players are entitled to Rs 7 crore. Reportedly, BCCI officials have claimed that one needs to play more to earn more and hence the decision.
