The ongoing Test series between Australia and New Zealand has currently become the talk of the town. Be is bowling style or batting order everything is making headlines; the recent news which is stealing the limelight is umpire's decision.
During the Day 4, the host team has been doing well but not according to the on-field umpires. According to the Hindustan Times report, the Australian batsmen were penalised five runs by umpire Aleem Dar for running down the centre of the pitch twice in the space of three deliveries.
David Warner, who was brilliant on the field was left in shock after umpire Aleem Dar gave a five-run penalty. Warner, who had crossed the 100-run mark, was heard asking the umpire: "For what. What am I doing wrong?"
This incident took place in the 50th over of Australia's second innings, where umpire Aleem Dar cautioned Marnus Labuschagne for running on the protected area of the wicket. Two balls later, the umpire formally penalised Warner for doing the same. Looking at this, angry Warner objected with Dar's interpretation.
The video was shared by Cricket.com.au, where Warner can be seen asking the other on-field umpire, Marias Erasmus "what do you want me to do, play the shot and jump this way?" as he motioned jumping sideways.
After being penalized by the umpire, the five runs were added to New Zealand's first innings; which made the score from 251 to 256.
