SRI LANKA SUSPENDS YET ANOTHER CRICKETER

An official release from the Sri Lanka Cricket stated that SL batsman Danushka Gunathilaka will be suspended from all forms of international cricket for breaching the 'Player Code of Conduct'. Gunathilaka's match fee for the ongoing test against South Africa will also be held.

The release reportedly said, "The decision to suspend the player was taken following an initial inquiry conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket after the team management reported that the player has violated the ''Code of Conduct'."

While the release did not dwell on the details, it is expected that the breach of conduct possibly took place during the ongoing test series. Gunathilaka has already had a series of disciplinary issues against him.
