Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is known for its calm head and ready wit ever since the launch of the Indian Premier League (IPL). From giving lovely replies to fans' posts to taking a dig at other teams, we have seen it all.
Recently, CSK took to Twitter to register its say on Dhoni's expulsion from the BCCI's annual player contracts list. The franchise shared a picture of Dhoni from one of the practice sessions and wrote, "But Manual Contact of the ball is more important. The super grind is on at Ranchi. #WhistlePodu."
Shared on Saturday, the tweet has so far garnered thousands of likes and comments. "Nee vaa thala chepauk is waiting for you !!!" commented one Twitter user. "Yes not contract, contact with the ball is important. Well said," wrote another.
Following six months of continuous absence from the sport, Dhoni did not find a spot in the BCCI's contract list. As soon as the news made headlines, fans began trending #ThankYouDhoni on social media. However, in fact, Dhoni’s expulsion does not mean that he will not play anymore. One of the top BCCI sources said if Dhoni finds a spot in this year’s Asia Cup squad and plays a certain number of matches, his name will be automatically added.
