The players of Indian Premier League franchise Chennai Super Kings arrived at the Chennai airport on Monday after lifting the title in the 11th season of the tournament. Players including captain MS Dhoni were greeted with garlands on their arrival at the airport. Fans gathered at the airport shouted, “CSK...CSK…” as the players moved to board the bus.
The players along with their family members were taken to a luxury hotel. It is expected that they will participate in the party to celebrate the team’s third IPL title.
Chennai Super Kings, led by Dhoni, registered an emphatic win in the final against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. SRH set a formidable target of 178 runs losing six wickets at the end of 20 overs. However, CSK’s opener Shane Watson led the side to victory with his 117 runs off 57 balls.
