The Chennai Super Kings have been a very popular and successful team in the IPL over the years. They have made it to the top 4 every year they have played and have won the title 3 times so far.

Looking at what they have done differently compared to other teams, CSK has played 74 players over the years which is the lowest amongst all teams in the IPL. Out of the 74 players, 33 have won Man of the Match awards which is a great ratio. RCB, on the other hand, has used 128 players over the years which is the most amongst any team in the IPL. Experts feel this is probably one of the key reasons as to why CSK have dominated in the IPL whereas RCB has struggled.

In 2019, once again CSK have made it comfortably to the playoffs and are favorites to win this year as well. Maintaining the core set of players and trusting them has been a key strategy for them and it has worked in a big way so far.
