POPULAR BOLLYWOOD ACTOR CONFESSES TO IPL BETTING

Popular actor and Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s brother Arbaaz Khan has reportedly confessed to betting in one of the Indian Premier League seasons. The actor recorded his statement before the anti-extortion cell (AEC) of Thane police on Saturday, officials said. Khan was made to sit face-to-face with alleged bookie Sonu Jalan, who was earlier arrested by the AEC.

A senior official reportedly told that Arbaaz Khan was threatened of exposing his gambling habit and blackmailed into betting crores of rupees. Jalan and Khan are said to have known each other for over five years.

Sonu Jalan, who was arrested along with three others after the police busted the betting racket on May 15, revealed prominent names involved in betting, officials said. They also reportedly added that a Pakistani politician could have been involved in the betting.
