BCCI STUNNED OVER HUGE NO. OF APPLICATIONS FOR TEAM INDIA HEAD COACH JOB: REVEALS NUMBER

Ever since the position for Team India's head coach was open for all, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been receiving applications from all across the world.
According to Bangalore Mirror report, the BCCI has received over 2000 applications for the post of head coach. These big names are sure to challenge Ravi Shastri.
There are many names like; former Australian all-rounder Tom Moody, former New Zealand and current Kings XI Punjab head coach Mike Hesson not forgetting former South African player Jonty Rhodes who sent his application for the role of fielding coach were among the renowned many. While talking about Indian contenders, we have Robin Singh and Lalchand Rajput who have also applied for the role.
There were many international applications too that were sent to which BCCI may take more time to evaluate all the names, Bangalore Mirror further reported.
Confirming about the same, even the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) co-member Anshuman Gaekwad said that they will decide with an open and clear mind when they sit down to interview the short-listed candidates.
Currently, the coaching staff have been given an extension in their contract till the tour of West Indies gets over as it expired soon after the World Cup.
Team India are soon to hit the field again as they are all set to play three Twenty20 internationals, three ODIs and two Tests in USA and the the Caribbean.
