ASHWIN POKES FUN AT DAVID WARNER AFTER TIKTOK GETS BANNED; FANS HIT BACK: TWEET GOES VIRAL!
Home > News Shots > SportsAfter Indian government decided to ban 59 Chinese apps including TikTok, Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took a sly dig at Australian cricketer, David Warner, who is extremely fond and famous on the app.
Amid this lockdown, David Warner has been treating and entertaining his Indian fans by dancing on famous Bollywood and Tollywood songs and dialogues.
Taking to his social media handle, Ashwin poked fun at Warner; he wrote: 'Appo Anwar David Warner', in Tamil it means what David Warner is going to do now? While many fans took this as a joke there were few who did not like the comment and hit back at the cricketer.
One among them was an Indian fan, who commented on Ashwin's tweet saying: "You were not raised properly". Without wasting much time, Ashwin replied to the fan calling it light-hearted banter.
The spinner clarified to his post saying: “It’s a light hearted banter in Tamil. Can be so easily missed due to context and language barrier. I appreciate you being a @davidwarner31 fan, my respect for him is still intact. Tc.”
On June June 29, the Indian government banned 59 Chinese apps amid the India-China standoff at Galwan Valley. The apps which were banned included TikTok, UC Browser, SHAREit, Baidu map, Shein, clash of Kings, DU battery saver, Helo, Likee, YouCam makeup, Mi Community, CM Browsers, Virus Cleaner, Apus Browser and many more.
