During the match between Dindigul Dragons vs Karaikudi Kaalai, Ashwin bowled a slow one and took Dinesh Karthik's wicket. Seeing these two players play together itself is a great deal and seeing one take the wicket of another was a treat.

Badri was called run machine with IPL strike rate of 118.89. During 2011 IPL, he was called Mr Dependable and reliable for CSK. He was also named in the Cricinfo IPL XI for it.
