ALL-STAR GAME, FINAL VENUE, CONCUSSION SUBSTITUTES: SOURAV GANGULY ANNOUNCES NEW CHANGES IN IPL 2020!
Home > News Shots > SportsThe cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) will have concussion substitutes and an all-star game from this season, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said on Monday.
The new ICC rule allows withdrawing a player from the game in case of a concussion either while batting, bowling or on the field. Also, an all-stars game between top international players will be played before the start of the tournament for a charitable cause.
“We are doing the concussion substitute, the All Star Game and the final is in Mumbai. There will be five double headers (4 p.m. and 8 p.m.) this time,” Ganguly told reporters.
On the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), Ganguly said that it has been finalised and BCCI Secretary Jay Shah will make the official announcement soon.
“CAC has been finalised. The Secretary will release it officially. Sulakshana Naik and Madan lal are there. Gautam (Gambhir) is not there,” he said.
