In the on-going Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Indian pacer Abhimanyu Mithun created history by becoming the first bowler to pick up five wickets in over in a T20 match.
He is currently playing for Karnataka and had locked horns against Haryana; surprisingly he picked up five wickets in an over which also included a hat-trick.
According to Hindustan Times report, Mithun became second bowler after Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga to pick up four wickets in four deliveries.
Highlighting about the match, Haryana looked strong on the field at 192 for 3 in 19 overs, but after Mithun’s entry and brilliance they were sent back at 194 for 8.
This was not the first time that Mithun had taken a hat-trick- he was fiery on the field in the Vijay Hazare Trophy final against Tamil Nadu where he had also taken a hat-trick.
