There was nothing unusual about November 27, 2014 until the day turned unfortunate in the cricket history. It was a regular game, the match was typical.
Phil Hughes batted impressively against the world class bowling. He faced Starc, Bollinger, Shane Watson. He was 63 not out and on strike when Sean Abbott came to bowl.
A bouncer was what a bowler would bowl at the point. It was common for bowlers to hit batsmen with the ball and it was seen as a sign of intimidation. However, it changed as the 25-year-old crumbled down as the bouncer hit him just below his ear.
After battling for his life, he passed away leaving the cricket fraternity shaken.
6 years after his sad demise, Australia remembers Phillip Hughes, forever 63 not out. #408.
