Now, we have dedicatedly narrowed it down to CSK whose IPL stint under MS Dhoni has been phenomenal in this decade. The following players may not be considered for IPL 2020 auction by CSK management.
Kedhar Jadhav
Lack of consistency tends to be the major factor concerning Kedhar Jadhav who was bought by CSK for Rs 7.8 crore in 2018. Unfortunately, he suffered injuries in that edition and failed to pull the attention in 2019 season also. Jadhav played 14 matches for CSK in IPL 2020 and managed to score only 162 runs.
Murali Vijay
Touted to be the star player of the franchise, Vijay's 127 runs against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2010 remains to be a benchmark in his career. However, he had the opportunity to play for only 3 matches in the 2019 season and did not make an impression.
Karn Sharma
Karn Sharma previously played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014 (bought for Rs 3.75 Crore), and Mumbai Indians in 2017 ( bought for 3.2 crores). The 32-year old leg spinner entered CSK in 2018 who was bought for 5 crores.
He continued to play for CSK in 2019 as well. He played only 7 matches in the last two editions and was not included in the playing XI most of the times. Therefore, CSK management might leave him out of the priority list as the team already has proven spinners.
