Sachin Tendulkar holds 'n' number of records to his name, be it limited-overs or longer format. After all, there's a reason why we call him "The God of Cricket!". Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, has established himself as a terrific opener in limited-overs cricket. In Test cricket, hit-man has just begun his show. However, the 32-year-old Mumbai Indians captain has achieved three marks in Test cricket within a short span of time that even Sachin Tendulkar could not.
1 - Two Hundreds in One Test Match
In the ongoing Test series against South Africa, Rohit Sharma scored two hundreds (176 and 127) consecutively to become the first cricketer in history to score two hundreds in his first Test as opener.
2 - 500 Runs in a Test Series
Rohit Sharma has already managed to score 529 runs from just 4 innings in the ongoing Test series against South Africa. The highest Sachin Tendulkar scored in a Test series was 493 when India toured Australia in 2007-08.
3 - Three Hundreds in One Test Series
Rohit has also managed to score three hundreds (176, 127 & 212) as an opener in Test cricket which Sachin Tendulkar could not.
