Gurgaon-based low-cost aircraft carrier SpiceJet on Monday agreed to buy the new 737 MAX 10 aircraft, manufactured by US aviation giant Boeing and Company. Reportedly, SpiceJet signed an agreement for a 40-aircraft deal which is valued at $4.7 billion, including 20 737 MAX 10 planes and conversion of 20 of SpiceJet’s 737 MAX 8 aircraft from an existing order. SpiceJet along with few other aircraft carriers became an inaugural customer for the aircraft designed to outshine the sales of Boeing's rival Airbus’ A321neo.
