DMK legislators walked out of the Tamil Nadu assembly on Wednesday after Speaker P Dhanapal denied them permission to raise corruption charges involving health minister C Vijayabaskar. The DMK alleged that a gutkha dealer’s diary shows that money was paid to the minister and police officials to facilitate the sale of gutka and paan masala. Notably, the sale of these products has been banned in the state.
