South Korea's new President Moon Jae-in reportedly said that the country would halt plans to build new nuclear power plants and will not extend the lifespan of existing plants in a bid to phase out nuclear power. "We will end the nuclear-oriented power generation plan and pave the way for a nuclear-free era", Moon said at an event.
