Singapore deports Tamil Nadu Imam for ‘divisive speech’

Nalla Mohamed Abdul Jameel Abdul Malik, a 46-year-old Tamil Imam in Singapore reportedly pleaded guilty for "committing an act prejury" that disturbs the harmony between different religious group on Monday. Following this, Malik was ordered to be repatriated to India and also asked to pay a fine of 4,000 Singapore dollars. Malik was accused of making controversial remarks against Christians and Jews in his sermon on January 6, 2017.
