Scientists have discovered a new species of frog in Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple Tiger Reserve in Karnataka. The frog species called Honnametti bush frog was discovered by Gubbi labs and Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and Environment while looking for a rare Sholiga narrow-mouthed frog. DNA tests confirmed that the frog was indeed a species not known to science until now.
