According to reports, the Supreme Court is likely to give a verdict on Tuesday in the corruption case against the AIADMK General Secretary VK Sasikala. If the judges confirm the HC’s acquittal of Sasikala then there will be no legal hurdle for her to become the CM of Tamil Nadu. On the other hand, if Sasikala is convicted, she will be sent to jail and will not be allowed to contest in elections for six years.
