Absconding liquor baron, Vijay Mallya, on Wednesday was granted three weeks time by the Supreme Court of India to file a reply to an SBI-led consortium of banks which sought deposit of an amount of Rs 273 crore. Notably, The consortium had earlier approached the apex court seeking its intervention in bringing back Mallya to India and also for repayment of the loan.
