The Supreme Court on Friday reportedly rejected the apology submitted by former BCCI president Anurag Thakur in suo motu contempt proceedings against him. The apex court reportedly asked Thakur to file a fresh affidavit, furnishing unconditional and unqualified apology by July 12. Reportedly, Thakur had sought a letter from ICC suggesting that appointment of a CAG official on the Indian cricket board will amount to government interference. However, he filed a false affidavit in the court stating he had not sought any letter from ICC.
