India’s largest bank State Bank of India has cut its term deposit rates for individuals by up to 50 basis points for various maturities. The revised rates for medium and long term deposits apply for fresh deposits and renewals amounting below Rs one crore from April 29, 2017. However, the bank has kept lending rates, including the marginal cost of funds-based lending rate, unchanged for May.
