Addressing the MLAs at Kuvathur, VK Sasikala reportedly claimed to take a pledge that she would take steps to install the portrait of late Dr. J Jayalalithaa in the state assembly. Sasikala also added that she won't move away and asked the legislators to stand firmly by her side. Sasikala who proclaimed her rise to power was similar to that of a lion cub, said, “ I have seen both Chennai and Bengaluru prison along with Amma. I will be as firm as I have been with her.”
