Former Karnataka Advocate General BV Acharya has reportedly said that Sasikala could contest the election if she is acquitted in the disproportionate assets case. According to reports, Acharya also said that if Sasikala is convicted, she could not contest the polls. If the judges differ in their verdict, a bench of three judges would decide on the case, added Acharya.
