The Service Tax department has reportedly issued a notice to Tennis player Sania Mirza for alleged Service Tax evasion. Sania was reportedly issued a summon on February 6 to appear before Principal Commissioner of Service Tax office in person or by an authorised agent on February 16. “If you fail to comply with this summons…, you will be liable to be punished under the relevant provisions of IPC,” it warned.
