Samsung mobile chief Koh Dong-jin said that the pre-orders of its Galaxy S8 smartphone have exceeded those of its predecessor S7 on Thursday. The S8 will be the safest Galaxy smartphone to date due to safety measures implemented to avoid the battery failures that caused some Galaxy Note 7s to combust spontaneously, said Koh.
