Twenty years ago, Pakistani legend Saeed Anwar on this day played his iconic innings of 194 against India in the Independence Cup in Chennai. Anwar’s knock, which was the highest individual score for a long time in ODI cricket, came of 146-balls, including 22 boundaries and 5 sixes. Notably, Anwar’s innings helped pakistan post a total of 327/5 and ended up beating India by 35 runs, with Rahul Dravid scoring a century for the hosts.
