Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman P J Kurien on Tuesday reportedly asked the Centre to talk to Tamil Nadu farmers over their agitation for crop loan waiver. Earlier, DMK MP Trichy Siva gave a notice under rule 267 seeking suspension of the day's business to discuss the plight of Tamil Nadu farmers. However, his notice was disallowed, and he was asked to make a brief mention of the issue. Siva reportedly said no one from the government had listened to the grievances of the farmers.
