Finance Minister Arun Jaitley reportedly said that the Income Tax Department seized cash and valuables worth Rs 600 crore post note ban. Based on intelligence reports, the department carried out searches and surveys in over 1,100 cases during the two-month period ending January 10, 2017, leading to the seizure of cash and valuables said Jaitley in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.
