Tamil Nadu has reportedly sought Rs 2,480 crore compensation from Karnataka for not releasing the Cauvery water even after the Supreme Court’s order. According to reports, the apex court heard TN’s plea and ordered both the states to file a list of witnesses within a week. Notably, the Supreme Court had earlier said that it would conduct a day-to-day hearing on the appeals of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala.
