In what can be seen as a brutal misuse of power, a Railway Police Force constable allegedly assaulted an elderly passenger which left him bleeding at the Chetpet railway station on Monday evening. According to reports, the passenger, aged around 65 years, was lying on the steps of the foot overbridge leading to the suburban platform and was brutally assaulted  with a lathi by the RPF constable when he tried forcing the passenger to leave the spot.
