Securing a 56-to-43 vote after four democrats voted against him, former ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson has been confirmed as US President Donald Trump's Secretary of State on Wednesday. The vote was by far the closest in at least half a century. Notably, Tillerson's predecessor, John Kerry, was confirmed by 94 to 3, while Condoleezza Rice was confirmed by 85-13.
