Reliance Communication Ltd. has received approval from the SEBI, BSE and NSE for the proposed scheme of arrangement for the merger of the wireless division of the company into Aircel Ltd and Dishnet wireless Ltd. Reliance Communication and the present shareholders of Aircel Ltd will hold 50% each in Aircel Ltd. Notably, the merger will create the country’s third-largest mobile operator in terms of subscriber base.
