Senior advocate and Rajya Sabha MP Ram Jethmalani has reportedly written to Justice C S Karnan, Calcutta High Court judge asking him to end his allegations and apologise. A Supreme Court bench issued bailable warrants against Justice Karnan for remarks which allegedly denigrated the judicial system. Retaliating to his letter, Justice Karnan alleged he was targeted because of his Dalit identity and also termed the contempt proceedings against him “unconstitutional”.
