The Rajya Sabha on Tuesday passed the HIV bill of 2014. The bill guarantees treatment for all those infected with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). The bill also extends to the fields of employment and educational services. As many as 21 lakh Indians are estimated to be living with HIV.
