Kerala police had reportedly registered a case against some Youth Congress activists on the charge of calf slaughtering. According to reports, the male calf was slaughtered as a protest against ban sale of cattle in animal markets for slaughter. The case was reportedly registered based on a complaint by the Yuva Morcha, the youth wing of the BJP. Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday night tweeted, the slaughter is “thoughtless, barbaric & completely unacceptable”.
