Ali Shareef Al-Emadi, the Qatar Finance Minister, has said the country is spending over $500 million per week on projects related to the FIFA World Cup, being hosted by the country in 2022. The spending pattern will continue till 2021, with the total expenditure on the World Cup estimated to be over $200 billion, being spent on infrastructure and stadiums.
