Prithika Yashini, India's first transgender sub-inspector of police became one of the 1,028 trainees of the rank to complete the year-long course at Tamil Nadu Police Academy on Friday. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami distributed the certificates to the sub-inspectors at a ceremony held in Oonamanchery, Vandalur. Notably, Yashini fought a long legal battle to write the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board examination.
