The President of India on Saturday reportedly granted emergency ordinance to lift the ban on Jallikattu, after days of unrelenting protest in Tamil Nadu over the prohibition of Jallikattu. The ordinance was promulgated by the TN Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao. Notably, the TN government had filed emergency ordinance to revoke the ban on Jallikattu.
