Retired Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar while speaking about his century against Australia in the 1992 Perth Test, said that he practised with a rubber ball to prepare for the tour. "The rubber ball obviously bounces quite a bit. I would ask the guys to bowl from 17 yards," he said. Notably, Tendulkar, who scored two centuries during the tour, said the ton at Perth was one of the most important innings of his life.
