PM Narendra Modi will reportedly inaugurate India’s longest bridge which connects Assam and Arunachal Pradesh on Friday. The Dhola-Sadiya bridge which is over nine kilometers long is built over the Lohit river, a tributary of the Brahmaputra. Reportedly, the bridge will help troops to enter Arunachal Pradesh, which borders China, much more quickly and easily, and will be able to withstand the weight of 60-tonne battle tanks. Notably, the cost of the project is about Rs. 950 crore.
