With the Assembly elections across four states done dusted, PM Narendra Modi will reportedly shift his attention back to foreign policy, especially ties and agreements with the country’s immediate neighbours in South Asia. According to reports, as many as four key visits have been lined up in the next month, with two from South Asia and the others further afield. The dignitaries expected in Delhi include the prime ministers of Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina and Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull, Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Singapore’s foreign minister Vivian Balakrishnan.
