After the collision of two ships, MT BW Maple and MT BW Dawn Kanchipuram, that led to the spill of tonnes of oil on the Chennai coast, Chairman of the Kamarajar Port Ltd, M A Bhaskarachar has reportedly said that the pilot of the former had warned the captain after he said he was okay and he was a regular visitor to the port. The pilot even sent a message saying, “you are going to collide, be careful,” Bhaskarachar reportedly said.
