The Centre, on Wednesday, reportedly said that the current petrol prices are lower than the prices in 2013-14. According to reports, Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, while answering on behalf of Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in Rajya Sabha, also added that the petrol price in July-August 2014 was Rs 73.60, while the price in January 2017 is Rs 71.
