The Supreme Court on Tuesday said that it is not compulsory to stand up when the National Anthem is played as part of a film or documentary. According to reports, the apex court bench of justices Dipak Misra and Amitava Roy made this announcement. Notably, the supreme court had earlier ordered that National Anthem must be played in all the cinema halls across India.
